About

Welcome to my blog! I’m Tonya Parsons, a passionate advocate for healing and emotional well-being. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Professional Counseling with a Christian Counseling focus from Liberty University. With experience in – In-Home Counseling with adults and adolescence, Rehab facilities and wonderful experiences in AA and NA groups. I developed my own theory called, “SPM Health” that emphasizes Spiritual, Physical and Mental health as characteristics for Wholeness and Ultimate Health.

Prioritizing our spiritual and physical health first, is vital because it lays the groundwork for genuine change in our lives. It starts with a conscious choice to focus on these areas, but it’s our spiritual purpose that truly fuels our desire for transformation. When we align ourselves with this purpose, the urge to make changes becomes almost instinctive, even though it often requires disciplined effort.

Exercise is one of the most effective ways to cultivate that discipline. It teaches us the importance of consistency and how small, daily actions can lead to significant results. When our spiritual and physical health work in concert, we find ourselves feeling more balanced, reflective, and open to change. This state allows us to address deeper issues, such as healing from past traumas, adjusting our behaviors, and improving our relationships, both with ourselves, others, and God.

Ultimately, the journey boils down to a simple yet profound principle: Love God, Love Others. By embracing this holistic approach to our well-being, we can grow and foster more meaningful connections in our lives.

In this blog, I share my personal stories of healing and love, intertwined with psychological and Jesus follower insights. My approach is both personal and academic, aiming to shed light on the complexities of the human mind and heart.

My goal is to provide a space where you can find solace, understanding, and hope. Whether you’re seeking to heal, experience joy and love, or cultivate empathy and peace for the first time.

Thank you for being here.

Warmly,

Tonya Parsons, M.A.
