Food for Thought: 🫐🍳🤓
Growing up, I believed that being extra sensitive was a weakness. I couldn’t understand why I struggled to handle things the way others did, and it left me questioning my own worth. But over time, I came to realize that my sensitivity wasn’t something to hide or be ashamed of; it was a gift. The real turning point came when I learned to manage my emotions through nervous system regulation. Once I grasped that, everything changed.
God has blessed us with simple, powerful tools to heal, connect, and become the best versions of ourselves. I believe he gave us these tools to be better for ourselves with the ultimate goal of building healthy relationships with others, including Him.
If you’re like me, deeply feeling, and sensitive, don’t let this world push you into conforming to something that denies your authentic self. There will always be those who say, “Just get over it.” But those aren’t your people. Stuffing down your feelings only creates deep wounds, mentally and physically. Our bodies carry the weight of unprocessed emotions, and that burden doesn’t just disappear; it stays in our bodies waiting to be healed.
Remember the story of the man with palsy in the Bible.
Matthew 9:2 (KJV):
“And, behold, they brought to him (Jesus) a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.”
He says, “Be of good cheer!” Jesus is literally giving him permission to be happy!
The man rose up, took his bed, and walked. Was it truly the palsy that held him back, or was it the weight of unhealed sin manifesting as physical illness? Sometimes the body carries the burden of unresolved pain, of thoughts left unaddressed and unhealed, turning inward to create disease.
If you feel more sensitive than others, know that it doesn’t signify fragility; it signifies depth, intuition, and insight. It’s not about pushing your feelings down, but about learning to regulate them in a way that nurtures you. So that you, in turn, can nurture others. Embrace your sensitivity as your strength. The right people will recognize your light, and your world will shine bright inside and out! 🥰

Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
