What principles define how you live?
- Love God with all of your heart, mind and soul. Learn His word so that it can transform your life at all different stages. The best thing you can do is work on yourself so that you can be a solid person for others. If you do not have a very good image of yourself, you will more than likely treat yourself unkindly, and thus, be unkind to others, including God. So, it is important to work on the transformation of yourself with Gods help. #loveGod
- Love others as yourself. As a secure, solid human, you are better able to love others, well. Be curious about others. Learn to listen well. Learn what interests them, what makes their heart sing. Look into the mirrors of their souls, their eyes. Hug often, and stretch yourself continuously when it comes to helping others. Our capacity is huge, if we start small, and focus on one person at a time. #loveOthers
- Make homemade meals often, if not always. The nutrition in food is maximized when grown and made with love and care. The same love and care that goes into growing it, is the same love and care that goes into making it. We know at the house if we yell, “I am making this with love!” it will be extra special. Cook at home. Lots of great music, conversations, and creativity can be found in the kitchen with family. #homemade
- Learn how to apologize quickly. This one has been really hard for me. However, my husband has a really difficult time seeing me upset. So, he has been very quick to apologize if he hurt my feelings in any way. With his example, I have learned that apologizing quickly, helps communication move on faster. The stress on your body, the family and the relationship, are not worth arguing or fighting for hours on end. Most of the time, the arguments are dumb. #apologize
- You don’t realize your tone of voice; you hear how you feel, not how you sound. I have learned that it isn’t so much what I say, it’s how I say it. When communicating with my family, I have realized that my tone of voice, and the emotion I have behind it, can shut down the ears of anyone I am talking to. I have learned to pause more, listen more, and adjust my tone of voice if I feel my emotions firing up in my body. #communicate
- Have a specific standard for how your surroundings look on a day to day basis. Making sure the dishes, laundry, and the house is somewhat straightened up before you leave each day, somehow makes the whole day run smoother. The attention to tightness in the morning usually sets the standard for how you pay attention to everything else in your day. #standards
- Health as a human being, is everything. Because without it, you would not be able to accomplish 1-6. Eating healthy, exercise, ground, foster your spiritual purpose, actively support your relationships, manage stress well, be outdoors everyday, travel, etc. all of those things help you to maximize 1-6 and help you to hopefully maximize life! Living this type of life will automatically pass on to your kids who can then maximize their life. What a wonderful joy it is to think that future generations may be even healthier than we are, thanks to the habits we’ve shared with them. #MaximumHealth
